About Us

Chromatopia Art was started in 2023 by Rod Walgamott and his two sons, Robert and Chaz. Rod grew up doing art and believing that he would become an artist.  He felt the need to let go of that ambition when the demands of adulthood and family life caught up with him. When his youngest son, Chaz emerged as a budding artist, his parents encouraged him to pursue it in earnest. Rod partially satisfied his need for creativity vicariously through Chaz, but when Rod retired in 2023, his love for art was re-kindled so he roped his sons into starting an art business with him. Robert developed the strategy and the online store, while Chaz produced beautiful art content. Rod learned how to mount and frame artwork and was both encouraged and tutored by Chaz to develop skills as a digital artist.
